My Experience

I’m a third-generation independent pharmacist, entrepreneur, and multi-business owner rooted in the Birmingham/Chelsea area of Alabama. A graduate of Samford University’s Doctor of Pharmacy program, I was raised inside the world of independent pharmacy, where I first developed a passion for serving people. That passion, combined with a love for innovation and leadership, has guided every step of my journey as a business builder.

Pharmacy Leadership & Expansion

After graduating in 2019, I acquired my first pharmacy — Chelsea Apothecary — within eight months through a bank-financed deal. Since then, I’ve expanded to own four pharmacy locations, with a fifth closing soon. My second pharmacy, Helena Drugs, was a ground-up build in a retail space. I then acquired a third on Valleydale Road in Inverness, and the fourth near Trussville on Chalkville Mountain Road. Each acquisition or launch came with its own challenges — and each has grown under my leadership, with increases ranging from 60% to over 300% in revenue. My businesses are built on two critical pillars: efficiency and customer care — a combination that is rare in the pharmacy world and has earned us strong loyalty across the communities we serve.

Multi-Business Entrepreneurship

Beyond pharmacy, I’ve launched and operated several other ventures:

A full-service tree care business

A blue roan foundation quarter horse breeding and training operation

A dumpster rental service

A growing portfolio of rental properties

An upcoming social media platform designed to reach an untapped, niche audience

Active trading and investment strategies in the stock market

Each of these businesses reflects a shared core — identifying opportunity, managing risk, and building systems that scale with integrity.

Strengths, Style & Strategic Thinking

I’m a visionary by nature, but a hands-on problem solver when needed. I thrive on identifying high-value opportunities, resolving operational challenges, and assembling the right people to make ideas real. I lead through servant-style leadership, but with a forward-looking mindset that pushes boundaries. I’ve developed and implemented several proprietary systems in my pharmacies that have directly improved consistency, safety, and patient experience.

Whether I’m executing a business acquisition, mentoring a new entrepreneur, or laying the groundwork for a new venture, I approach every task with the same mindset: build the smallest viable concept, test, refine, scale — and repeat with precision.

Other Positions/Experience:

I have served on the Kappa Psi (Professional Pharmacy Fraternity) in a regional capacity for over  a period of 8 years. I have independently and solely orchestrated events accommodating the Gulf Coast province attendees. I have served as the legislative committee chair for the Gulf Coast Province, proposing new legislation pertinent to business and also changes to better the organization. Over the years I have served as the Gulf Coast Parliamentarian, Secretary, Vice-President, President, and immediate-past President. In these roles I was responsible as a Province Executive Committee member to meet all responsibilities of the position I held as well as continue future growth for the fraternity while upholding its values and balancing growth/change. As an executive committee member, I am accustomed to working within a team to effectively seek the common good of the organization at large as well as its members on a chapter/regional level. Meeting deadlines, adhering to by-laws, and enacting new legislation for the betterment of a larger community was for many years and active responsibility. I strongly believe, the various roles I served in will also be used well to serve the City of Chelsea.

I believe anyone can be successful possessing self-motivation and confidence to act. But for me, business has never been solely about finances. It’s about impact: creating jobs, giving back to the community, and changing lives for the better. Charitable donations are a core principle of my leadership. The more our businesses grow, the more we can give.
